Not just a pretty pie! Here at Clive’s Purely Plants we have not only been audited against the BRCGS standard for the first time but also received the highest rating possible – AA!
This is an amazing achievement and a real testament to Clive’s expert, hard-working and passionate team. The driving force Emma Chesbrough, Head of Operations & Technical, comments: “When I joined Clive’s just over a year ago, Esther told me of her aspirations for BRCGS accreditation. Although my previous experience was in approved premises so I knew what to expect, this is the first time I have worked through the transition from SALSA to BRCGS. With a newly refurbished bakery, and a great team culture, the main focus was on updating and refining the systems, then training out any changes. The result is a credit to everyone in the fabulous bakery team who adapted seamlessly to the BRCGS standards”.
As these standards are adopted in over 130 countries and set the benchmark for good manufacturing practice, it means that Clive’s can continue to expand, update and help shape the future of plant-based eating. Customers at all stages of the supply chain can feel completely confident that all Clive’s processes meet the highest safety standards possible in the food manufacturing sector.
“With the steady rise of customers choosing to eat vegan food, we can continue to innovate and create tasty options that push the boundaries of plant-based eating” adds Esther Pearson, MD. “It also opens up doors to new development and collaborative opportunities which we are really thrilled about”.
Clive’s are exhibiting at Plant Based World Expo, Olympia, London on the 30th November and 1st December Stand B12, come say hello and try our scrummy pies!
